SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA FERRY SERVICES SHOWING RIDERSHIP INCREASE

The San Francisco Bay ferry services have hit new high percentage of passengers taking therein ferry across the bay. The WETA (Water Emergency Transportation Authority) administration announced records of all-time increase percentage of riders taking ferry services during last month of July. The ridership increase marks 78% since 2012 and continues a trending approach for ferry services within San Francisco Bay Area. The WETA administration established a strategic plan to accommodate the ridership increase with more vessels, terminals, and routes. The ferry services from San Francisco to Alameda, Oakland, and Vallejo have seen increasing ridership at terminals. The WETA strategic plan will include new vessel boats by 2020 with variable new transporting routes as necessary.
