SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA HIGHWAY I-580 CLOSED FOR EMERGENCY REPAIRS

The westbound lanes on I-580 in Marin County has been closed for repairs because of diesel fuel spill earlier leading Caltrans for emergency repairs this morning. The Caltrans roadway crews have been cleaning and repairing the impacted highway area since this morning around 9:25 AM and hoping to finish sometime this afternoon. The affected roadway area may have been caused by hot weather and degraded asphalt because of diesel fuel spill on the road sometime last month. The Richmond-San Rafael bridge was congested with traffic because of this emergency cleanup and laying new asphalt on the road. Traffic was detoured onto the road shoulder during Caltrans highway repairs along westbound Main Street within Marin County.

"We cleaned the highway as quickly as we can using kerosene addictive substance for diesel fuel spill as solvent," said Bob Haus, Caltrans Spokesperson. #EliteLimousine driver's background is lawfully checked and cleared to operate passenger transporting vehicles, and all fleet vehicles are always cleaned with eco-cleaning solutions without toxin, to keep car interiors environmentally safe and healthy for passengers.
