The state funding for climate change statewide is under development of planning how to disburse funding, to allocated geographical areas in California based on the need within most polluted communities. The state officials set aside $272 million for disbursement and fewer than 5% could be allocated San Francisco Bay Area, and San Francisco Bay Area legislative officials sent a letter to CAL/EPA officials sharing their concerns.
San Francisco Bay Area leaders and legislative officials are requesting modifications on the funding disbursement plans.
