SAN FRANCISCO MTA HIRES NEW TAXI AND ACCESSIBLE SERVICES DIRECTOR

The San Francisco taxi industry has been going through a lot of downturn in business relations and services due to TNCs (Transportation Networking Cars) online app for transportation services. Leading into San Francisco MTA (Municipal Transportation Agency) to hire a replacement staff for Taxi and Accessible Services Division because of the former director's retirement. The new director is Kate Toran who has been with San Francisco MTA for 15 years and has new conceptual ways of trying to lure services for taxis in San Francisco. She said some of the new ways could be an online app for taxis and relaxing regulations for the industry, and the job is challenging with a lot of stakeholders in place with a strategic approach.
