The San Francisco transbay services for across the bay area to Oakland, Alameda and Contra Costa counties have been in the planning process since 2011. The agencies Board of Directors are expected to provide final approval at their meetings tonight and Thursday night, and the project will be evaluated after one year for effectiveness.
