SAN MATEO BRIDGE CLOSING TOMORROW IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The latest studies indicate State of California roadway bridges are outdated and needs retrofitting repairs including San Francisco Bay Area regional transporting areas. We posted previously about the reporting studies results as well as future bay area bridge closures for repairs, and that time is here and now closing San Mateo Bridge over this weekend. Caltrans is expecting to close all eastbound and westbound lanes by 10 PM on Friday, and start working on retrofitting repairs and resurfacing the bridge deck for commuters. The Caltrans officials said lane closures could start at 7 PM on Friday, and reopen the road back for full operation by 5 AM on Monday morning. The eastbound Edgewater and Metro Center boulevards in Foster City will be closed as well and traffic will be redirected for alternative routes during bridge closure.
