The SCT (Sonoma County Transit) services agency in North Bay is ordering seven new electric fleet buses to replace thereby present fleet buses. The SCT fleet buses are currently operating with natural gas power, and new electric buses will be powered by battery operational systems. The transit agency electric buses should be delivered during November 2026, and providing intercity transit services countywide. Including transit services for Route 20 and Route 30, as well as Route 44, Route 48, and Route 60 local routing services. The SCT new fleet buses will provide upgrades with transit services countywide, and positive investment for the people in Sonoma County. The CARB (California Air Resources Board) requires all public transit services fleet operations to have zero-emission vehicles.
