SFMTA LAUNCHING MUNISAFE IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) transit services in West Bay is launching a safety initiative to protect passengers and employees. The MuniSafe project elements will help passengers report unsafe activities onboard muni transit buses and/or railway services. Needless to say, it's Transit Month of September 2022 in the Bay Area, and SFMTA will monitor therein reporting unsafe activities. The SFMTA transit agency will work closely with San Francisco 311 Customer Service Center, and will update options for reporting by ALL types of passengers. The passengers can remain anonymous during a report for unsafe activities on muni buses and/or railway services. The SFMTA will work closely with SFPD (San Francisco Police Department) to ensure therein safety initiative is empowered.
