SFMTA REALLOCATING TRANSIT FUNDING IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) is being criticized for not spending bond funding for transportation improvement projects faster. The San Francisco voters approved bonding funds to improve transportation in The City and SFMTA is not spending it fast enough as appropriated. The SFMTA Board of Directors have been discussing how $26 million bond money should be spent quicker if not for programs to improve muni bus and train services. Therefore, the money for local pedestrian safety projects will be redirected to improve muni facilities and other transit improvement projects ready for implementation. The SFMTA administration is considering the longer time for projects during the procedural process, is why spending allocated funding takes longer than anticipated for improvement projects.

"The funding is not being pulled from improvement projects, but realistically redirecting the money we have and not a policy directive approach," said Malcolm Heinicke, SFMTA Board of Directors. #EliteLimousine driver's background is lawfully checked and cleared to operate passenger transporting vehicles, and all fleet vehicles are always cleaned with eco-cleaning solutions without toxin, to keep car interiors environmentally safe and healthy for passengers.
