The Southwest Airlines flight 2547 made an emergency landing at Oakland International Airport because of mechanical problems. The airline was flying from Oakland to Chicago and because of mechanical problems, the plane has to return back to the airport. The commanding airplane pilot decided to return the plane back to Oakland International Airport after taking off at 6:13 AM to check for a maintenance problem. The airplane safely made an emergency landing and after checking, the airline landing gear was having problems and operating inappropriately. The commanding pilot didn't want to continue the flight to Chicago because of a major mechanical failure. Some passengers were happy for the pilot because of returning back to Oakland and not continue the flight for safety reasons. The Southwest airplane is put out of service for maintenance repair and inspection.
