STOLEN AND CARJACKING TRUCK IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The delivery truck for Meals On Wheels was stolen by two suspects, and leading police into a car chase on highways and roadways in San Francisco Bay Area. The vehicle was disabled by police in Castro Valley, California after the car chase through Hayward, Union City, and Fremont local municipal cities. The suspects threatened police officers with a bomb threat and stolen vehicle, including carjacking and felony charges. Local traffic was temporarily impacted and backup on roadways were cleared for vehicular operations. The suspects were taken to a local hospital for treatment with minor injuries and discharged thereafter for arresting process. The suspects were arrested for car theft and pending arraignment on Monday, May 9, 2016.
