The City of Sunnyvale and Santa Clara County are joining to seek answers to ongoing traffic problems in southern part of San Francisco Bay Area. The joint partnership had public meetings to hear from people about ways and means of support regarding traffic control. The Silicon Valley booming developments for working people is making traffic along Highway 101, Highway 237 crossing over Mathilda Avenue in Sunnyvale is tougher than before. The City of Sunnyvale and Santa Clara County VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) officials shared their traffic concerns and hearing from people sharing their concerns as well. The traffic congestion along Mathilda Avenue and highways "Mathilda Monster" traffic mess was reported the third worst traffic area in San Francisco Bay Area. Many people who attended public meetings shared their high priority for pedestrians and bicycle lanes, and encouraging people to use public transportation saving our natural environment for future generations.
