TRANSPORTATION REMARKS AT SELF-DRIVING CONFERENCE IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The self-driving cars conference in San Francisco is seeking more ways of ensuring safety elements are in place accordingly for autonomous vehicles. This is a major concern of people in San Francisco Bay Area and nationwide with self-driving cars considering recent fatality accidents including death. The USDOT (U.S. Department of Transportation) Secretary Anthony Foxx shared his remarks yesterday during the conference regarding more safety testing for self-driving cars. He is encouraging automakers and technology partnership agencies to rigorously test and review robotic controls for safety reasoning before self-driving cars are allowed on the road. His plans will include USDOT safety guidelines proposal for autonomous vehicles during this summertime.
