TREASURE ISLAND SELF-DRIVING SHUTTLES IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The San Francisco County Transportation Authority (SFCTA) is planning to roll-out and test self-driving shuttles project on Treasure Island in San Francisco Bay Area. The project is part of federal grant funding allocation by U.S Department of Transportation (USDOT) for City of San Francisco to relief traffic congestion. Part of the project will include a toll-system from the Bay Bridge to Treasure Island, and it will help with project funding for services efficiency. The self-driving shuttles will connect passengers between East Bay bus stops, ferry terminals, and muni bus stops. The SFCTA administration expects to complete the tolling system in four years and have self-driving shuttles available for services in 2020.

"The shuttles will provide first and last mile transport, and provide support for Treasure Island's economic development," said Tilly Chang, Executive Director, SFCTA. #EliteLimousine driver's background is lawfully checked and cleared to operate passenger transporting vehicles, and all fleet vehicles are always cleaned with eco-cleaning solutions without toxin, to keep car interiors environmentally safe and healthy for passengers.
