The new parking garage construction for Walnut Creek BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station is planning to begin Saturday, September 9, 2017 as part of the Walnut Creek Transit Village improvement project. The new parking improvement project is built next to the southern parking lot area to increase overall public parking. Including upgraded bus facilities with new passenger pickup/dropoff locations, improved bike and pedestrian pathways, and new BART police station. These are all parts of the Walnut Creek Transit Village development in various phases during construction and current parking garage will remain open. There will be adjustments for public parking accessibility during construction at all times to avoid any problems - please visit www.wcbartparking.com for more information.
