WETA $4.9 MILLION FUNDING IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The WETA (Water Emergency Transportation Authority) services agency in West Bay receives $4.9 million funding award in San Francisco Bay Area. The WETA agency received therein federal funding award through MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) as part of the CRRSAA (Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act) federal Emergency Relief Funds. To help transit agencies in San Francisco Bay Area overcome therein COVID-19 pandemic crisis and preserving essential transit services. The MTC allocated therein CRRSAA federal funding to some Bay Area transit operating agencies and will further allocate other available funding when necessary. The federal funding award for WETA will help avoid some operational hardship and preserving Bay Area ferry services for commuting passengers.
