San Francisco Looking To Refund Overpaid Parking Tickets

Have you been parking your vehicles in San Francisco for many years and paying parking tickets? A great news for you. The city may owe you money. According to the latest report of transportation officials, they found approx $6,00,000 i.e. from overpaid parking charges. This audit was done from 20th June 2014 and it is proved that around 7,000 people have paid extra on parking tickets due to some reasons.

The San Francisco Examiner stated that the refund amounts range from $20 to hundreds of dollars. Whereas Susan Alonso is one name who owed $516 in street cleaning tickets from 2012.

The SFMTA has uploaded a wide list of people on this website who are owed money. As per the officials, “The deadline to apply to reclaim that money is December 14th”.

If any funds that are not reclaimed by the deadline will become the property of the City and County of San Francisco and will be used for the city.
