$2.3 MILLION VTA PARTNERSHIP AWARD WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) agency in South Bay partners with other transit agencies to receive $2.3 million federal funding. The VTA is partnering with WRTA (Western Reserve Transit Authority) for automated electric vehicles with fixed route buses and paratransit services. The federal funding award is issued by FTA (Federal Transit Administration) from the U.S. Department of Transportation for therein project infrastructure. The federal funding award is part of therein FTA initiative called AIM (Accelerating Innovative Mobility) to help support innovation in the transit industry. The VTA partnership project will provide testing ability for therein automated vehicles in South Bay, and cost-effective services efficiency under climate changes - visit www.vta.org for more information and project updates.
