CALTRAIN PTC $18.7 MILLION AWARD WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The U.S. Department of Transportation is awarding Caltrain $18.7 million for PTC (Positive Train Control) installation for passengers safety onboard. The federal infrastructure funding is issued through FRA (Federal Railroad Administration) with 28 grant funding projects.

RESTORING TWIN PEAKS TUNNEL SERVICES WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The transit services for Twin Peaks tunnel is being restored this coming weekend with normal scheduled lines K, L, and M thereafter two months of tunnel construction repairs. The regular services for West Portal and Forest Hill will be back to normal with regular transit lines.

The teamster union members blocked corporate shuttle buses in San Francisco because of labor disagreements with driver's contract. The shuttle buses continue to transport employees to Facebook, Apple, LinkedIn, Tesla, Google and Salesforce tech companies.

PETITION FOR SAFER ROADWAY WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

A coalition in Menlo Park is submitting a petition to San Mateo County for roadway changes to make Santa Cruz Avenue more safer and minimizing traffic congestion. The local residents are proposing changes between Sand Hill Road and Alameda De Las Pulgas along therein roadway where it splits.

CHANGING VAN NESS TRAFFIC LANES WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The traffic lanes on Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco will be shifting starting tomorrow on Thursday, August 23, 2018 in both directions. The lanes downtown changing is part of the Van Ness traffic improvement project and overhauling between Lombard and Mission streets.
