SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA - ENVIRONMENTAL GROUPS FILING LAWSUIT AGAINST NMFS OPERATION BY STANFORD UNIVERSITY
Lawsuit filed by environmental groups in San Francisco Bay Area is in the process of litigation, after legal documents were filed at U.S. District Courts in San Francisco. The claim is based on water being diverted from a local creek to irrigate a campus landscaping, as alleged among other wrongful usage, and providing less water for local trouts fish in the creek to survive. Considering the bay area drought, they should be protecting the water for local fish and not allegedly divert it for other purposes.
