The CTC (California Transportation Commission) state agency is investing $589 million in San Francisco Bay Area and statewide repair projects. The Caltrain services agency in West Bay celebrates therein completion of a final foundation for electrifying trains in the Bay Area. The Caltrain agency successfully completed 3092 foundations for the OCS (Overhead Catenary System) to support electrified trains operation. The electrified train system will be the first in a West Coast operational region, and with 25KV OCS to provide electric power for trains in the Bay Area. The Caltrain agency started construction for therein electric trains project during 2017, and start testing OCS elements during the summer 2022.

The Tri Delta Transit services agency in East Bay is sharing their schedule changes effective Monday, February 14, 2022 in the Bay Area. The Tri Delta Transit agency operates under ECCTA (Eastern Contra Costa Transit Authority) serving thereby neighborhoods within eastern part of Contra Costa County. The transit agency provides fixed routing services as well as paratransit routes for approximately two millions passengers every year.

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) services agency in South Bay is rolling out more zero-emission fleet buses and new charging infrastructure system. The VTA transit agency have five electric buses and $4.7 million funding award from California Energy Commission will help secure more electric buses in South Bay. Including solar panels and microgrid backup battery at their bus fleet yard, and partners with Proterra regarding therein battery design and fleet charging elements.

The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) services agency in San Francisco Bay Area supports therein Bay Adapt Joint Platform to combat high rising sea levels. The identified platform approach is a partnership effort by BCDC (Bay Conservation and Development Commission) and community organizations. The BART agency will continue to work closely with BCDC and stakeholders to move therein Bay Adapt Joint Platform forward accordingly. The adaptation process of therein platform with guiding principles will assist decision-makers with transparency efforts to make it happen.

The Vine Transit services agency in North Bay is temporarily reducing services on fixed routes and community shuttles until Saturday, February 5, 2022. The Vine Transit services agency operates under NVTA (Napa Valley Transportation Authority) and encouraging passengers to plan their local trips ahead of time. The Vine Transit services staffing will provide NVTA with a report for an assessment regarding transit services in North Bay. The transit agency services will depend on therein evaluation and may need more service reduction and/or service disconnection.

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) services agency in West Bay successfully completed training for operators aligned with the Van Ness Avenue project. The SFMTA improvement BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) project on Van Ness Avenue will be open for transit services operation during this coming spring season. The driving operators for Muni and Golden Gate Transit systems have completed their updated testing training sessions before using thereby BRT transporting system.

The AC Transit (Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District) services agency in East Bay is hosting a redistricting virtual meeting for service locations districtwide. The AC Transit is reminding therein public passengers feedback and last virtual meeting is Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 6:30 PM.
