LOCAL TRANSIT AGENCIES REQUEST IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA
The vehicular traffic congestion in San Francisco Bay Area continues and transit agencies are requesting state data for Uber and Lyft car-sharing companies. A local San Francisco legislature is drafting a legislation to request data from CPUC (California Public Utilities Commission) for traffic congestion resolutions. The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) sent a letter to state regulators in December 2016 identifying 45,000 Uber and Lyft vehicles are driving in San Francisco.
