The Southwest Airlines announced new non-stop flights at SJC (Mineta San Jose International Airport) and increasing some domestic national flights. The Southwest flight service expansion includes 82 daily flights within 22 nonstop destinations starting early March 2018. Including 23 nonstop flights from SMF (Sacramento International Airport) to Austin, Orlando, St. Louis, New Orleans, and Cabo San Lucas. The economic experts are pointing at a steady economy in Santa Clara County as a factor in Southwest Airlines expansion endeavor. The local airlines at SJC has been progressively expanding services during recent months and job market has picked in Santa Clara County. The SJC airlines are recognizing the importance of service expansion in Silicon Valley as an investment for business travelers.
