CALIFORNIA SELF-DRIVING CAR POLICIES WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The state DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) shared new revised regulated policies for self-driving cars in San Francisco Bay Area and statewide. The new revised DMV regulations would allow autonomous vehicles to operate on state roadways as long as applicable with federal safety standards. The procedural process have to provide a public commentary period through Wednesday, October 25, 2017 along with approval for autonomous vehicles. The self-driving cars can be allowed for operation as soon as possible sometime next year in 2018. Some people believe the new proposed regulations for self-driving cars will endanger communities and other drivers. The new policies will take effect thereafter the public commentary period with approval for the process.
