The TLC (Transportation Learning Center) agency contracting with FTA (Federal Transit Administration) is developing technical partnership training and partly using VTA's training expertise. The VTA training expertise will help create a standardized training curriculum and mentoring approach for bus operators. The curriculum standard elements will be shared with transportation agencies across the country nationwide. The VTA effort is to help employees advance within the transportation industry through apprenticeship training programs. The VTA advancement training program is strongly supported by union members of Local 265, to help and train employees with an opportunity of moving into stable transit positions.
"It's a win-win situation for this offer and gaining positive feedback from other partnership agencies," said Steve Jovel, VTA Assistant Superintendent. #EliteLimousine driver's background is lawfully checked and cleared to operate passenger transporting vehicles, and all fleet vehicles are always cleaned with eco-cleaning solutions without toxin, to keep car interiors environmentally safe and healthy for passengers.
