The Phase-I of therein BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) Silicon Valley Extension project is stretching towards the finish line by June 2018. The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) transit agency administers the extension project functional activities in partnership with BART. The VTA and BART partnership extension project is going along well within the scheduling timetable, and performing various types of safety system testing for trains before full service. The final stretch of systematic testings will be completed sooner than expected and CPUC (California Public Utilities Commission) will certify the safety and reliability of operations. When CPUC certifies therein VTA/BART Silicon Valley Extension project, and VTA will turn the project over to BART for operational services for passengers. It will align along with the time of services during June 2018 established with FTA (Federal Transit Administration).
