RED TRANSIT LANES PARTNERSHIP WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The AC (Alameda-Contra Costa) Transit District completed their Bancroft West Pilot project "bus only red lanes" in partnership with City of Berkeley in San Francisco Bay Area. It's a three block distance pilot project between Dana and Fulton Streets with red painted lanes for transit buses only in the East Bay. This project is part of many transit improvement projects for passengers and will monitor therein project for effectiveness. Hopefully, the transit only lanes will help and make transportation services easier for UC Berkeley students. Including a protected two-way cycle side for bicyclists to make it safer and parallel to transit only lane.
