The BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) agency is trying to keep trains clean and safe for passengers during commuting hours. The transit agency have 14 rapid response team members for the cleanup crew on trains, to walk the length on each train car at the end of each train line run. Effective today, on Monday, June 4, 2018 BART passengers can report a biohazardous train environment using their mobile phones. The report will initiate contact information for BART to responsively take action and assign appropriate staffing. The cleanup teams approach is trying to keep BART trains clean and healthy for commuting passengers within the transit system. Some people are saying, "the drug addicts are being addicted because they're given drug needles to support their bad habitual behaviors." The cleanup team members are also dispatched at MacArthur and Lake Merritt stations - please visit www.bart.gov for more information.
