PUBLIC & PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP FOR TRAFFIC WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The Facebook and San Mateo County Transit District is forming a partnership for Dumbarton Bridge corridor transportation projects. The partnership agencies will work on planning and infrastructure development for the Dumbarton Bridge traffic issues and exploring transit resolutions. It could also reopen the Dumbarton Bridge Railway for transit services to hopefully avoid traffic congestion in the Bay Area. The partnership feasibility approach is to make it easier for passengers crossing the bay without traffic problems - East Bay and Peninsula/West Bay commuters. The Facebook company funded a Dumbarton Transportation feasibility traffic study in 2017 for improvement projects to ease traffic. The partnership agencies will fully review some of therein study elements for traffic improvement projects along Dumbarton Bridge corridor.
