SECOND MUNI DRIVER TESTED POSITIVE IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) is working closely with another muni driver/operator who tested positive for COVID-19. The SFMTA is providing guidance assistance for therein second muni driver as impacted by the COVID-19 transmitting contact when reported. The second impacted driver was operating a muni bus out of the Presidio Yard and SFMTA personnel is cleaning it thoroughly for protection. The SFMTA is reviewing therein driver's routing activities for determination of COVID-19 transmitting contact. The SFMTA and local muni drivers union are encouraging drivers/operators to stay home if he/she is sick, and use the bus protective operating device onboard for prevention.

"We confirmed a positive coronavirus for an operator out of Presidio Yard and unfortunately, this is not the first in our SFMTA family.
