The Tesla company is rolling out a new feature for electric cars automated driving system to electronically recognize stop signs and traffic signals when necessary. The Tesla data reports therein electric cars new feature can be used with Traffic Aware Cruise Control and/or Autosteer Systems. Because the new cruise control feature can recognize stop signs and stop traffic lights, and slows the electric car with the driver's awareness. The Tesla drivers must also be aware of therein recognition signal and take immediate appropriate action as necessary. The report identifies Tesla sharing therein software updates with drivers and the new feature will be available later in the process. The NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) will monitor therein cruise control's new feature performance for safety review.
