The GGBHTD (Golden Gate Bridge Highway & Transportation District) agency is proposing to expand transit services discount fees for the Clipper START program in North Bay. The Clipper START pilot program in San Francisco Bay Area is for low-income passengers to get 50% discount fees to ride transit. The GGBHTD agency proposal is to include transit services within Marin County for therein discount fare program, and a public hearing is set for Thursday, September 24, 2020. The transit agency district board would like to hear from the public regarding therein discount fare program expansion, and to allow therein discount fares for local transit services within Marin County. The Clipper START pilot program was initiated by MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) to help low-income passengers within the Bay Area nine regional areas.
