CALTRAIN EXPANDS BICYCLE LOCKERS IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The Caltrain transit agency in West Bay is expanding their bicycle lockers for traveling passengers. The Caltrain Board of Directors approved a contract with eLock Technologies LLC to create more electronic lockers for commuting passengers. The Caltrain agency has served approximately 10,000 passengers with bicycles during weekday schedules, before therein COVID-19 pandemic, and having more electronic lockers available is essentially necessary. The transit agency's bicycle lockers capital improvement project is aligned with therein Electrification Project and the Caltrain Business Plan. The Caltrain data shows more lockers are necessary for commuting passengers, and expanding therein bicycle lockers program becomes a necessity for services.
