The BART services agency shared their Welcome Back Plan for commuting passengers with new changes and expectations with regional transit services. The welcoming back package includes schedule changes on both weekdays and weekends, as well as more frequent train services in the region. The BART services data is showing 28% ridership increase on weekdays before the pandemic, and 49% during weekend regional services. The BART stations have pandemic masks available for commuting passengers, and wearing facial mask compliance is at 95% throughout therein transit services operation.
