The AC Transit recently shared their reNEW Plan for action to protect employees and traveling passengers in East Bay. The transit agency is going beyond therein health and safety standards initiated by the MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) Blue Ribbon Transit Recovery Task Force. The AC Transit is starting to install protective safeguard barriers on fleet buses to protect driving operators, and planning to complete therein protective shields installation by Friday, October 16, 2020. As well as offering free facial covering masks with available hand sanitizers for passengers when necessary.
