The Caltrain transit agency board approves 50% discount for low-income train riders in West Bay within San Francisco Bay Area. The discount approval is aligned with therein usage of Clipper cards when traveling by Caltrain in the Bay Area. The Caltrain board ratified a resolution during February 2019 aligned with therein Clipper card support and offered 20% discount for low-income riders. The Caltrain administration is offering thereby 50% discount for low-income riders, to hopefully pickup more ridership passengers because of local challenges created by therein COVID-19 health pandemic.
