CONCERNS WITH TRANSBAY TRANSIT CENTER WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The Transbay Transit Center in San Francisco is expected to open within less than five months, and local residents are sharing concerns with homeless population. The TJPA (Transbay Joint Powers Authority) Citizens Advisory Committee recently had public meetings with local neighborhoods to look at ways and means of strategy to handle homelessness. The TJPA committee shared their concerns with potential impact of increased homelessness within local neighborhoods affecting the transit center. The representatives from local agencies and neighborhoods shared therein same concerns that would impact transit passengers. The committee will monitor therein concerns at the transit center and recommend appropriate changes when necessary for improvement services.
