The bicyclists within San Francisco Bay Area may have a selection of e-bikes transporting them from place-to-place in the Bay Area. The Ford GoBike is planning to launch 250 e-bikes during April 2018 as part of the pilot project, and e-bikes are produced locally by GenZe in Fremont. The e-bikes are pedal assisted with a 345 watt-hourly lithium battery and could have a speed range of up to 18 miles per hour. It also shows the e-bike speed as well as battery charging levels and it will be at docking stations within the San Francisco. Another competitor is JUMP Mobility in which SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) issued a permit for its e-bikes sharing pilot project. The JUMP Mobility currently have 100 orange e-bikes in San Francisco and hoping to expand therein number of transporting e-bikes.
