The WETA (Water Emergency Transportation Authority) is closing a ferry terminal parking lot in Alameda starting today on Monday, June 22 to Thursday, June 25, 2020. Because of the parking lot maintenance repairs and upgrades for ferry commuting passengers in San Francisco Bay Area. The WETA transit agency transports over three million passengers every year across the Bay Area. The WETA agency transports passengers across the Bay Area for business endeavors, entertainment, personal, sports events, etc. in San Francisco Bay Area. Because ferry services are critically part of the Bay Area transportation system over the past 10 years and avoiding local vehicular traffic. The ferry parking lot repairs with maintenance upgrades are necessary alignments with the WETA Strategic Plan for optimal services. The WETA agency is encouraging passengers to use other parking lots because Main Street Alameda ferry parking lot will be closed.
