The California DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) issued the first autonomous shuttle vehicle operational license plate to EasyMile company driverless shuttles. The autonomous vehicles license plate allows it to operate on California public roads and it happened this morning in San Ramon, California. Therein driverless vehicle with no driver, no steering wheel, no brake pedals, and no accelerator was operating at Bishop Ranch business park. It's goal is having the EasyMile shuttles help with connecting passengers to local transportation locations. The CCTA (Contra Costa Transportation Authority) is licensed to test 2 autonomous shared shuttles and hoping to have 97 shuttles by 2020 on state public roads.
