The SFMTA (San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency) tunnel project at Sunset District in San Francisco is experiencing some delays. The SFMTA board awarded therein contractual agreement to NTK during April 2016 for the tunnel improvement project upgrades. It appears the project contractor completed some workload activities for therein tunnel project and SFMTA owes $16.2 million for payment. The SFMTA staffing is recommending to reopen the bidding process because of ongoing delays with the project and costing more to tax payers. The SFMTA and contractor is having disagreements on new scheduling because of ongoing project delays with costing increase. The SFMTA administration received complaints from local residents because of ongoing service disruption, along with loud noises from project construction.
