SENATOR FEINSTEIN PROPOSING NEW BRIDGE WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The federal Senator Feinstein is calling for a new San Francisco Bay Area bridge to help with vehicular traffic congestion. An advocacy letter was sent to MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) by Senator Dianne Feinstein and Congressman Mark DeSaulnier for MTC to take expeditious action on the new bridge proposal. The new bridge proposal can be funded by regional initiatives approved by local voters and therein letter identifies the way to alleviate traffic problems. The new bridge study completed in 2012 estimates therein costing amount of $12.4 billion to make it happen and MTC acknowledges receiving the letter. The MTC officials shared their appreciation of receiving such a letter addressing the need for major investment in Bay Area infrastructure.
