SOUTH BAY PEDESTRIAN SAFETY WALKWAY WITHIN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The VTA (Valley Transportation Authority) completed the pedestrian crosswalk for VTA's Eastridge Transit Center in South Bay. The crosswalk will make it safer for pedestrians to access from Capitol Expressway to Eastridge Mall and transit center for passengers. The San Jose local residents will become safer walking to the mall and/or boarding VTA transit buses. Because Capitol Expressway is one of the busiest roadways in South Bay during commuter hours, and intersection at Tully Road walkway connection is critically safer. It's part of the Eastridge Transit Center Improvement Project, and making it safer and accessible for local residents and VTA passengers. The improvement project includes ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) curb ramps for enhancement and safer accessibility for the crosswalk trail.
