TRANSIT AGENCIES RELIEF FUNDING IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA

The San Francisco Bay Area transit agencies are getting $1.3 billion federal aid funding to help with therein COVID-19 health pandemic impact. The MTC (Metropolitan Transportation Commission) is a regional transportation development and/or investment agency that serves as the decision making body for federal funding. The MTC regional agency will work closely with Bay Area transit agencies regarding therein federal funding allocation. The transit agencies are sharing their appreciation for therein federal relief funding and depending on how much each will receive. The local transit agencies are hopeful MTC will use a workable disbursement method, and how to allocate therein federal funding for each transit agency as necessary.
