The WETA (Water Emergency Transportation Authority) announced receiving $4.45 million federal funding to rehabilitate their Main Street Alameda ferry terminal. The federal funding was awarded by FTA (Federal Transit Administration) through the Passengers Ferry Grant Program, and will be matched with funding from local initiatives. The federal funding will help upgrade the WETA ferry terminal in Alameda with enhanced transporting service elements - 29 years old ferry terminal. The ferry enhancement repairs will include an upgrading ramping system for therein terminal to operate more efficiently.
