The federal funding allocation will be released throughout nine regional counties for 180 improvement projects in San Francisco Bay Area. The MTC administration will use the OBAG2 (One Bay Area Grant 2) format with a procedural process to release therein federal funding. The MTC approved OBAG2 program of projects during the end of 2017 and funding will be released directly for active transportation projects.

The Marin County is receiving federal grants to repair local roadways within western county roads including Point Reyes National Seashore in North Bay.
